Summer is almost over! Well with all the freak storms going on in the UK is practically already is. But still, I am here to tell you about the sun screens I have been using this summer. No matter your skin tone, you should protect yourself against the sun. Melanin helps but you can still cause damage if you don’t use any protection. So lather up on the sun screen haha. Anyway, I have mainly been using these two and one is Hawaiian Tropic Protective Dry Oil, whose products I have used before,- Love -, and the other is Ladival Sun Protection.
Ladival is scientifically proven to protect against the broadest spectrum of the sun’s rays, shielding against harmful infrared-A rays, as well as both UVA and UVB. The range offers protection against four times more of the sun’s rays than standard UVA and UVB sunscreens. This is great news if you have really sensitive skin and want to best protection out there. I used this sunscreen on my face as I am really prone to burning. Woe is me. The one I had was a spray so it was very lightweight which is perfect is you want good protection but not a horrible thickness of lotion. I like the fact that it free from any strong smells and horrible ingredients like preservatives, colourants or emulsifiers. You should definitely try this sun protection if you’re looking for a non-greasy product!
The Hawaiian Tropic range is interesting because it has loads of vitamins and exotic extracts that are good for your skin and make it look, feel and smell delicious. Over the summer I mainly used this oil for my body. The Dry Oil left my skin soft and moisturised but most of all protected. Usually I use the standard white oily lotion as sun screen but this one was free of those strong smells and instead smelt like fruit and coconut. The bottle includes Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Aloe Vera and Vitamin C & E Complex all great for your skin. What I loved about the oil was that I was still able to get a nice tan and it made my skin glow.
It was a change from my usual sun lotions and trying out spray version of sun protection was something I actually enjoyed. Easier to applying evenly and no repugnant smells. I’ll definitely be using these two products more.
